Only your dentist can give you an estimate of how long it will last. Down the road if required the tooth with the post and crown could be removed and a impl! ant inserted. I've had it done in the past. Problem with the implant is it takes apprx. 6 months from start to finish where the post/crown can be done immediately....answers 2:AN IMPLANT HAS MANY ADVANTAGES TO ANY POST/CORE/CROWN.
